Fixed Rate Mortgage
A fixed rate mortgage locks your interest rate — and therefore your monthly payment — for a set period, typically 2, 3 or 5 years.. Your payments will not change during this time regardless of movements in the Bank of England base rate. At the end of the fixed term, your mortgage reverts to the lender's SVR unless you remortgage.
