Mortgage Deposit
The deposit is the portion of the property's purchase price you pay from your own funds — the remainder is funded by the mortgage.. A 10% deposit on a £300,000 property is £30,000, giving an LTV of 90%. Larger deposits unlock lower LTV brackets and therefore better rates
Lenders verify the source of deposit funds to satisfy anti-money laundering requirements.
