Equity Release

Equity release allows homeowners aged 55+ to access some of the value tied up in their property without selling or moving out.. The two main types are lifetime mortgages (the most common — a loan secured against the property, with interest rolled up) and home reversion plans (selling a share of the property to a provider). Equity release is a significant, often irreversible financial commitment and requires specialist advice.
