Income Multiple

Income multiple is a shorthand for how much a lender will lend relative to your annual income.. Most standard lenders cap lending at 4–4.5x income. Some lenders offer up to 5.5x or 6x for higher earners or certain professions

The actual amount you can borrow is also constrained by affordability assessment — income multiple is only one factor.
