Interest-Only Mortgage
With an interest-only mortgage, your monthly payments cover only the interest on the loan — you do not repay the capital.. At the end of the term, the full balance remains outstanding and must be repaid, typically by selling the property or from a separate repayment vehicle such as investments. Lenders apply strict criteria and require a credible repayment strategy.
