Repayment Mortgage
A repayment mortgage (also called a capital and interest mortgage) means each monthly payment covers both the interest charged and a portion of the outstanding capital.. By the end of the mortgage term, the full balance is repaid and you own the property outright. This is the most common mortgage type and the one most lenders require.
