MIP (Mortgage in Principle)
Mortgage in Principle is a common alternative name for a Decision in Principle (DIP) or Agreement in Principle (AIP).. It is a certificate or letter from a lender stating the amount they would be willing to lend, based on initial information. Estate agents typically ask for one before accepting an offer on a property.
